Athletics

Panthers prepare, plan and play to win, but winning is not our purpose. Panther student-athletes are focused on exploring their athletic interests, developing their skills and connecting with a team. Along the way, they develop lifelong skills - and memories.

We offer 15 boys' and 15 girls' sports as part of the Minnesota State High School League across three seasons. Many of these teams are open to students in grades 7-12. In addition, Westwood Middle School offers middle school students specific athletic experiences at grades 7-8. Learn more about our teams, eligibility and schedules. Go Panthers!

Westwood Athletics

Students in grades 5-8 can participate in athletics through intramurals and competitive sports with other schools through Westwood. Students in 7-8 are also eligible to “play up” as part of Minnesota State High School League competition in several athletic programs through SLPHS.
